Without question one of the best little games of all time in my opinion. The base premus is farely simple, you are a traveller from a far land and have come to a tower hoping to reach the top. Along the way youll find varies groups and people that all speak in their own launquages with their own gramatic rules. Its up to you to use a combination of comparitive linquistics variouse "rosetta stones" and your own senses to slowly learn the lanquage so you can solve problem that stop your asent and hopefully even unify the disporit groups.
Alice: Madness Returns, just like its predacessorAmerican McGee's Alice, is absolutely amazing in terms of artstyle and atmosphere with Madness Returns bringing the gameplay up to match. While not terribly complex in terms of story or gameplay (being a fairly sinple platformer with smaller combat sections) it is incredibly fun with a very vibrant sense of self that gives it life and makes it unforgetable. Grimy, dingy, and misserable would be fair terms both to discride the waking world of alice and the real victorian era its based on; especially compare to the vibrant and imaginitive worlds youll spend most of your time exploring; but even then the real world is something you can just leave behind. Especially when it wants you gone.
A game that can be frustrateing, hilarious, and tense all at once. In Barotrauma you will play the part of a submarine crewmember beneath the icy surface of Europa; a real moon of the planet Jupiter, fighting pirates and mosters all while trying to mine resources and deliver supplies between underwater habitats. While possible to play solo (especially with mods to improve crew ai) it is undiniably better with other people. My favorite way to play definetly be as medic with the neurotrauma mod which add a much more indepth and intresting medical system. (I might make a mod list)
I have a very distict love for the fallout franchise, I still remember watching my dad play fallout 3 and the Xbox 360 in the living room and being absolutely mesmerize. It is without question one of the most important game franchises to me, and personally I find Fallout: New Vegas to be best of fallout. Filled with a srowling and buetifle world only further bolstered by a varied and massive modding community that gives it so much longevity even to this day
